E-Recycle/Shredding Event
Time: 9:00am to 1:00pm
Upper Gwynedd Township will be hosting its Annual E-Recycle/Shredding event PAR-Recycle Works will be onsite handling residents shredding & e-recycling needs. There are a few things to remember about this event:
This event is limited to UGT Residents Only. Vehicles should have their Driver's license or ID ready to be checked by Twp staff. In order to keep traffic flowing, shredding is limited to 5 bags or boxes per vehicle. We ask that you please remove all metal clips or binders. Staples are OK. No early birds please!
The following items include a cost to ensure they are properly recycled: -CRT TVs $40-$80 (vary by size) -Flat screen TVs $25 -CRT monitors $25 -Flat monitors $7 -Air conditioners $25 -Humidifiers/Dehumidifier/Air -Purifier $25 -Mini fridges $25 -Microwaves $15 Shredding is FREE PAR accepts cash, check, or credit card!

Rain Barrel Workshop

Upper Gwynedd Township, through the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy & UGT Environmental Advisory Council will be hosting a Rain Barrel Workshop.Upper Gwynedd Township, through the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy & UGT Environmental Advisory Council will be hosting a Rain Barrel Workshop. The event will be held outside at Parkside Place Gazebo. In the event of rain, it will be moved inside the Township Building Public Meeting Room.
About the event: Rain barrels are containers that collect and store rainwater from your downspouts to be used for watering plants, cleaning yard equipment, or topping off a swimming pool. All the necessary supplies for making the rain barrel (50 gal) will be provided and a Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy Coordinator will walk you through the steps of putting your rain barrel together.
Thanks to the Township's EAC, the cost has been offset and reduced to only $35 per person! Please note this event is limited to UGT residents only.
